James Wesley Smith, III.

James Wesley Smith, III, the first born son of Superintendent James Arthur Smith, Jr. and the late Annie Mae Hill Smith was born October 23, 1943.  He quietly departed this life on Thursday, October 17, 2013 at Northwest Medical Center in Springdale, AR. The loving memories of his life are cherished by his wife, Deborah J. Smith of Fayetteville, AR; his children, Karen (Michael) Jones of Arkadelphia and seven other children, ten grandchildren and one great-grandson. From his parents union,  fond memories rest in the bosom of his brothers and sister, Bishop Robert E. Smith, Sr. (Dr. Carolyn Ann), Bishop Donald R. Smith, Sr. (Jerri), Madgie Abson (Ted), Thomas M. Smith and Curtis G. Smith. By the providence of God, he has joined eternity with his late brothers, Nathaniel J. and Melvin L. Smith, Sr. The family will receive friends Tuesday, October 22nd from 6:00-8:00 pm at Word of Outreach Christian Center, 3300 Asher Ave., Little Rock, AR.  The home going service will be celebrated on his 70th birthday Wednesday, October 23rd at 11:00 am at the First Pentecostal Church of Jesus Christ at 1401 Calvary Rd., North Little Rock, AR  72116.
