Mary "Mollie" Hearn McKinney

Mrs. Mary “Mollie” Hearn McKinney, was born October 10, 1935 in Richmond Hill Community, Clark County, Arkansas to the union of the late Henry Hearn, Jr. and Lucinda Stephens Hearn. She accepted Christ as her personal Savior at an early age, and joined Richmond Hill AME Church. Mary, who was affectionately called “Mollie,” graduated from Peake High School in Arkadelphia, Arkansas, and then went to cosmetology school in Little Rock, Arkansas. She moved to Lubbock, Texas and attended Drones Business College there. She was a member of Bethel AME Church in Lubbock, where she was a choir member until her health failed. Mollie departed this life Thursday, April 10, 2014 at her home in Lubbock. She leaves to mourn her passing: son, Danny Pipkin, sister Marsha Stevenson, grandchildren, TaMarsha Stevenson, TaReginald Stevenson, great-grandson, Zavondrick Stevenson all of Lubbock; step-daughters, Patricia Johns and Arethia McKinney; brother, George W. (Catherine) Hearn of San Diego, California; sister, Nora Jean (James) Bryant of Hot Springs, Arkansas; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and her church family. The family will receive friends at 11am on Wednesday, April 16th at the funeral home. Graveside services will follow at 12 noon at Richmond Hill Cemetery.Submitted by the Johnson and Hill Families.
