Vance Dale Balch was born into time on September 10, 1980, in Arkadelphia, Arkansas to James Terry Balch and Bertha Mae Giles.
“Dale” as he was commonly called fortunate to be a part of the Giles family and the Balch family. Being a member of both he was blessed with an abundance of life, laughter and support. Having so many brothers and sisters there was never a need for lots of friends. Dale grew up to be a handsome young man and showed himself to be friendly. He never met a stranger as was known as a trusted friend.
He grew up n Gurdon, Arkansas and attended Eastern Star Baptist Church in the Smithton Community and he spent a lot of time in Arkadelphia. Although Dale didn’t complete high school, he received his GED and was a talented and gifted mechanic. He spent countless hours working on cars. He was known for sporting his rims and always kept a clean “whip”. Dale was about that “paper” and he believed in hard work. He never waited for a handout, he was known to be a “go getter”. Dale enjoyed of sports and music. He was that cool, laid-back friend who had a great sense of humor and knew how to have a good time.
Dale was an outstanding father. He took his role as father to heart. When he met Tamesha he accepted her children as his own and loved them with no limits. He and Tamesha later had a son, Dale Von. Being a young father wasn’t always easy, but Dale took it in stride and stepped up his game when he asked Tamesha to become his wife. They were married on August 24, 2012 and now his family was complete.
In his 34th season of life he surrendered his soul on Friday, November 14, 2014 at Arkansas Hospice in Hot Springs, Arkansas with his wife at his side. Family, as well as friends, will miss his quiet strength, smile and love, but will never forget his spirit and his eagerness to be about that “paper“.
