On March 10, 1920, in Lee Township, Arkansas, a baby girl was born to Samuel and Mattie Warner Broughton, they named her Tommie Mae. She was a housewife and a member of Full Counsel Christian Fellowship Church in Malvern, Arkansas. To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the Heaven:………on Tuesday, December 16, 2008, in her 88th season, Tommie Mae Broughton Pearson bid farewell to her family and friends at her residence in Gurdon, Arkansas. Those awaiting her arrival and to welcome her to her eternal home were her parents, her husband, Richard Franklin Pearson, a sister, Ruby Mae Lacy and a brother, Samuel Broughton, Jr. Her memories will linger on in the lives of her daughter, Frankie and her husband Andrew Brown of Gurdon, Arkansas; a sister, Lillie Mae Reynolds of Chicago, Illinois; a brother Clifton and his wife Dorothy of St. Bend, Indiana; three grandchildren, six great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild; other relatives and friends, as well as her church family, Full Counsel Christian Fellowship. The Tommie Mae Broughton Pearson family has planned a service of Celebration and Tribute to be held on Monday, December 22, 2008, at 1:00 p.m. in the sanctuary of Full Counsel Christian Fellowship Church, 1736 E. Page Street,Malvern, Arkansas. Pastor Alice Nolen will deliver the celebration message. The committal service and final resting place will be at Rose Hedge Cemetery in Gurdon, Arkansas. Those who want to respectively view Mrs. Pearson may do so on Sunday, December 21, 2008 from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m.
