Eldora Juniel

June 6, 1950 — April 14, 2009

…I will do all in my power to maintain and elevate the standard of my profession, and will hold in confidence all personal matters committed to my keeping and all family affairs coming to my knowledge in the practice of my calling. With loyalty will I endeavor to aid the physician, in his work, and devote myself to the welfare of those committed to my care. (In part taken from the”Nightingale Pledge”) Eldora was born into time on June 6, 1950, in Witherspoon, Arkansas the daughter of Walter Juniel and Bessie Garland. She accepted Christ as her personal Savoir at a young age and attended church regularly in Little Rock, Arkansas. She was a graduate of Bearden High School. Upon graduation, Eldora set out to pursue her dreams of becoming a nurse. During those years African-American woman faced many challenges in the classroom and in the field, but with determination and perseverance Eldora overcame. For over thirty years Eldora enjoyed good success as she used her gifts and talents for the greater good of humankind. Eldora had an infectious laugh. Her angelic face was always a portrait of serenity and composure, and her natural wit and humor could chase the chill from any room. To know her was to love her and she will be sorely missed. Most recently, Eldora worked as an LPN at Golden Living Center in Arkadelphia, Arkansas. During all of her 58 years she made friends across race, gender, faith and creed; she freely offered wise counsel, gave generously to those in need and inspired everyone who crossed her path. She was born into eternity on Tuesday, April 14, 2009, at Baptist Health Medical Center in Arkadelphia with her family at her side. Eldora leaves to cherish her memories: her mother, Bessie Hart of Arkadelphia, AR; three sisters, Bobbie Hart of Ft.
