God, on May 9, 2017 stretched forth his hand and welcomed his faithful servant, Ruby Lee Newburn, home. Her entrance into eternity completes the Gabriel and Bessie Wilson Family. Ruby Lee Newburn was born on September 1, 1919 in Arkadelphia, AR to the late Gabriel and Bessie Wilson. She accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age, at the Mount Morriah Missionary Baptist Church. She was faithful in service to the Lord and a woman of substance and strong prayer. She married James Tanner Newburn on April 29, 1935 and to this union was born two sons, and five daughters. She was a loving wife, mother and homemaker. Ruby Lee leaves to cherish her memory, four daughters: Bernice Newburn Seawood, Salado, TX; Mable Newburn House, Bryant, AR; Lillie Newburn Owens, Jacksonville, AR, Marva Newburn Flowers; Alexander, AR; one son, Thomas Newburn, Arkadelphia, AR; 14 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great grandchildren. She also leaves a host of nieces and nephews, and her best friend, Bessie Blacknall. She was preceded in death by her husband, son, James (Jimmy) L. Newburn, daughter, Betty Ruth Newburn, her siblings, Addie Sue McCauley, Robert Wilson, Richard Wilson, Gabriel Wilson, Janie B. Clark, Lillie Mae Wilson, and Jon Anna Smith.
