Roy Lee Grayson

Roy Lee Grayson, Sr. was born on December 4, 1951 to the late Richard Grayson and Carrie Mae Austin. He accepted Christ at an early age at St. Phillips Baptist Church in Bastrop, LA and was a graduate of Morehouse High School in Bastrop, LA. He united in Holy Matrimony to Geraldine Lewis on October14, 1997. He retired from El Dorado Paper Bag after 35years of service. After retirement he began his part-time employment with Central Arkansas Development Council (CADC) as a driver and later became a full-time employee and remained until his passing. He was preceded in death by his son, Roy Lee Grayson, Jr., (April 8, 2004); his father, Richard Grayson; his step-father, Jessie Lee Austin; one brother, Jessie James Austin; one sister, Tina Austin Johnson and his grandparents. His memories will be cherished by his wife of 22 years, Geraldine Grayson of Louann, AR; his loving mother, Carrie Mae Austin of Crossett, AR; one daughter, Kerri Grayson – Hunsucker (Charles), Jacksonville, AR; five stepchildren, Charles Ray Johnson of El Dorado, AR, Ray Allen Johnson of Los Angeles, CA, Isaac Allen Johnson of Las Vegas, NV, Rachel LaShun Johnson of El Dorado, AR. and Allen Travon Johnson (Yolanda) of Peoria, IL; twelve grandchildren; four brothers, Eddie Austin (Copresia) of Crossett, AR, Larry (Shannon) Austin of Kansas City, MO, Fredrick (Deloris) Austin of Little, Rock, AR, and Ronald Austin of Las Vegas, NV; three sisters, Linda Okoli of Arlington, TX, Wanda Williams of Crossett, AR, and Trina Austin of Arkadelphia, AR; his mother-in-law, Willie Mae Lewis of Camden, AR; five sisters-in-law, Joann (Daryl) Jones of Los Angeles, CA, Wilhemia (David) Reed of Texas, Debra Lewis of Camden, AR, Gwendolyn (Eric) Houston of Palmdale, CA and Lolita Lewis of Houston, TX; two uncles, Eddie Worley of Buffalo, NY and Detonio Grayson of Hamburg, AR; two aunts: Minnie Lee Grayson of Milwaukee, WI and Fredonia Grayson Breathett of Springdale, AR. He also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
