Wallace Jerome “Jack” – “Speedy” Reed, 56, died October 21, 2009 in Ogden, Uath. He was born July 6, 1953 in Arkadelphia, Arkansas the son of Wil Reed and Bert Ella Buckley Reed. Upon living in Utah Jack enrolled in Job Corps. He trained as an auto diesel machinist and heavy equipment operator. After graduation Jack was employed by Circle A Construction where he proudly worked for 15 years. He also enjoyed making new friends. Jack will be dearly missed by all his friends in Arkansas and Utah, but never out of mind. He loved living in Utah and always wanted to come home. His friends in Arkansas knew him as “Speedy” and his friends in Utah knew him as “Jack”. Jack was preceded in death by his parents and two siblings, Alberta V. Buckley Brim and Elijah Buckley, Jr. He leaves to cherish his memory three brothers; Gary W. McClellan, Robert C. McClellan and Bruce A. Gray all of Arkadelphia, AR; two sisters, Gilda F. McClellan of Arkadelphia, AR, and Wanda (Leslie) Jones of Manchester, AR. He also leaves his nieces and nephews, Jackqualine Greene, Fredia Newborn of Joan, AR, Leasha Ann Taylor, Reginald “Bubba” Brim, Paula Wesley, Benny Gray, Robert McClellan, Jr., Brianna McClellan, Trishelle McClellan, Centwane McClellan, De De (Carl) Brim, LaDonna Hart, LaShall (James) Jones, Jerry harris, Angela McGhee, Olivian McClellan, Kimberl McClellan, LaTisha McClellan, Terrance McClellan, Gary McClellan, Jr., Melanie Keith, Bert Ieasha Jones and Jason Grey. and a host of other great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. Homegoing services will be held on Saturday, October 31, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home, 517 Clay Street. Brother Joe Ed Jones will provide the Discourse. The committal service & final resting place will be in Helms Cemetery. Bearers of the casket will be Charles R. Hill, Johnny F. Hill, Cody Hunter, Tim Buckley, Willie O. Buckley, Reginald Brim, Allen Brim and Martin L. Newborn. Submitted by the McClellan Family.
