Susie Robinson

June 28, 1952 — April 4, 2010

Into Heaven’s mansions she’s entered, never to sigh or to weep: After long years with life’s struggles, Susie has fallen asleep. Angels through heaven will guide her, Jesus will still bless and keep; Not for the world we would wake her, Susie has fallen asleep. Beautiful rest for the weary, well deserved rest for the true; when life’s journey is ended we shall again be with you. This helps to quiet our weeping – Hark Angel music so sweet! He giveth to His beloved, beautiful, beautiful sleep. Susie Robinson was born into time on June 28, 1952 in Dermott, Arkansas. Susie had a very outgoing and loving spirit. Her smile would light up a room anywhere she went. Susie was known for her trademark color red. She loved "chewing gum" and “cold drinks” as she put it. She was a former resident of the Arkadelphia Human Development Center for several years and later Courtyard Gardens where she was a member of the Red Hat Club. On Sunday, April 4, 2010, at Courtyard Gardens in Arkadelphia she surrendered her soul to Christ after 54 seasons. Susie has left indelible impressions in the hearts and minds of her friends at the Arkadelphia Human Development Center and Courtyards Gardens. Susie will lie in state at Williams Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 13, 2010, from 2:00 p.m. noon until 6:00 p.m. A tribute to Susie’s life will be held at the J. L. Williams Memorial Chapel in Williams Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 14, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. Rev. Roy Smith the pastor of Bethel A.M.E. Church in Gurdon will officiate.
