“A-Train”
Adrain LeVelle Newborn “A-Train” was born on December 16, 1979, in Arkadelphia, Arkansas, to Quincy Newborn and LaFrances Newborn (Tate). He was raised in the Mill Creek community just outside of Arkadelphia, where he developed the values of hard work, loyalty, compassion, and love for family that guided him throughout his life.
Adrain received his education in the Arkadelphia School District and was a proud graduate of Arkadelphia High School, Class of 1998. While attending Arkadelphia High School, he played football for the Arkadelphia Badgers and earned All-State honors as an offensive guard, reflecting his strength, discipline, and team-first mindset.
Following high school, Adrain built a career rooted in dedication and skill. One of his earliest and most meaningful jobs was working in sanitation at Petit Jean Poultry, a position he often spoke of fondly because of the friendships and camaraderie he shared with coworkers, many of whom became lifelong friends. He later earned a certificate in HVAC/R from National Park Community College in 2010 and continued his work in maintenance, including positions at Berry Plastics and Amcor, where he served as a Maintenance Technician. Adrain was known as dependable, hardworking, and always willing to help.
Throughout his life, Adrain lived in Hot Springs, Arkansas, and Stone Mountain, Georgia, but Arkadelphia and the Mill Creek community always remained home in his heart.
Adrain found joy in the simple things. He loved barbecuing and smoking meat, bringing people together through food and fellowship. He was a devoted fan of the San Francisco 49ers and followed his team with loyalty and pride. He also had a deep love for animals, showing kindness and care to them whenever he could.
Adrain was deeply loved by his family, and that love was returned in full. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Tabitha Newborn (Woodley); his parents, Quincy Newborn and LaFrances Newborn (Tate); his brother, Van Newborn, and sister-in-law, Kanesia Newborn; his sisters, Margo Newborn and Tiffany Newborn; and five nieces and six nephews, all of whom he adored.
Adrain LeVelle Newborn will be remembered for his quiet strength, his compassion for others and animals alike, his strong work ethic, and the love he shared with family and friends. His memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
