Bertha Ann Marsh was born into this life on March 15, 1962 in Rosston, Arkansas to the union of Carteen Marsh and Louisa Quarles Young.
She accepted Christ at a young age and united with Eastern Star Baptist Church where she served on the finance committee. Bertha was a 1980 graduate of Gurdon High School where she played basketball for a short time. Bertha was a trusted friend and never met a stranger. Her sisters often called her “Willie” after a childhood friend who favored Bertha.
Bertha was the life of the party and was the family prankster. She was known for her pranks that gave a smile to any frowning face. Her greatest pastimes were talking on the phone. She would spend countless hours on the phone connecting and catching up with family and friends. She loved cooking and always wore stylish fingernails.
She worked for M&M Enterprises for over 10 years. Bertha and Roy her long-time companion of over 30 years provided a nurturing and loving home for their family. She enjoyed family reunions and get-togethers. Although her presence will leave a void her memory will live forever.
Bertha has always made an effort to share all of her love and grace. Although her life would seem too short to many, those who were touched by her understood that the quality of her existence far exceeded the quantity of time many of us spent with her.
The bible teaches “To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the Heaven” and Sunday, November 14, 2021 in her 59th season of life she passed from time into eternity.
