Betty Jean Arps Tisbini was born July 6, 1958 to Dennis Arps and Betty Sue Evans Sims. On Saturday, September 4, 2021, God called her soul home to be with Him.
She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant son, Christopher Dansby.
Betty accepted Christ at an early age. She was a faithful member of Kingdom Authority Christian Ministries under the leadership of Rev. Quintin C. Radford. As a quality control inspector at Tyson Foods, Betty positively impacted the scope of her duties. To know Betty, was truly to love her. Her affectious smile, personality, and spirit was truly a diamond that would shine bright in any room that she entered.
She met Elia in 2009. On May 20, 2016, Betty married her soulmate, Elia Tisbini in Ghana, Africa. To this union, three additional children were added to her family. Betty Jean affectionately known as “Brown Sugar” was a noble lady, a God-fearing woman, a family woman and a genuine woman. She gave her all to the God she worshipped, her family and the church.
Betty truly lived a servant’s life. She always put the needs of others before herself, no matter how young or old. In addition to being a great friend, nothing compared to the love she had for her family. She enjoyed family trips, cooking, interacting with her children and grandchildren, and conversating with close friends and family.
Although the church, community, and family has suffered a great loss, Betty’s memory will forever live on and be cherished by her husband, Elia Tisbini; her children, Jackie (Shasta) Dansby of Prescott, AR, LaTunja Arps of Ashdown, AR, Angel (William) Jones of Hope, AR, Joseph Dansby of Prescott, AR, Princess Dansby of Prescott and Treina Moss of Prescott, AR; her bonus children, Audrey Tisbini, Obrempong Tisbini and Judith Tisbini; seventeen grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, two sisters, Helen Gulley of Prescott, AR and Martha Arps of Arkadelphia, AR; a brother, Arthur (Angela) Evans of Rockford, IL; an aunt, Irene Martin; a favorite cousin, Vera Williams; a special cousin, Diane Hayden and as she would say her “Dearest, Dearest Friend”, Shelia Butler of Prescott, AR; other special friends, Terry Lynn Johnson, and Jackie Matlock. She also leaves several nieces, nephews, others cousins and numerous friends.
A celebration of her life will be shared at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 18, 2021 at The Pavilion at Mt. Canaan Baptist Church in Gurdon with Rev. Quintin C. Radford, officiating. Interment will be at Sweet Home Cemetery in Prescott, Arkansas. Although there will be no public viewing, family and friends may pay their respects by signing the guest book and viewing the Images of Life DVD at the funeral home on Friday, September 17, 2021, from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.
