Callie accepted Christ at an early age at Cedar Grove Baptist Church and lived her life as a faithful servant of the Lord. Later in life, she joined New Mt. Hebron Baptist Church, where she remained a faithful member. Throughout her life, She was a member of her church’s choir and the Camden Community Choir where she shared her love of music and lifted countless hearts through song.
She was a proud graduate of Stephens High School, Class of 1980, and attended Henderson State University where she earned an Associate of Arts in Early Childhood Education. Callie was employed at Camden Fairview School District as a bus monitor. On March 12, 1993, she was united in holy matrimony to Harold Hughey, and they shared many blessed years until his passing on February 17, 2017.
Callie had a heart full of love for her family, friends, and community. She was a devoted godmother to Chloe Davis, whom she cherished deeply, and a loyal friend to many. Among those closest to her was a dear and special friend, Clifford Bradley, whose companionship brought her comfort and joy.
