A Time to Be Born: Evangelist Ervalene Frazier Elliott was born on November 15, 1941 in Louann, AR.
A Time to Die: Evangelist Ervalene Elliott stepped into the loving arms of the Lord at 3:22 P.M. on November 3, 2025 in Detroit, Michigan where she lived with her son, Michael Frazier.
My Life’s Story: I was born the second child of four to Walter L. (T-Bo) Frazier and Louiza Tatum Frazier. I accepted Christ as my Lord and Savior at an early age. I was baptized at the New Jerusalem Baptist Church under the pastorage of Rev. J. W. French. My life was established on sound religious principles. My family was deeply rooted in the New Jerusalem community. I was raised in a blended family with siblings and step-siblings.
I attended Lafayette Elementary and High School through 10th grade. At that time, I moved away to Detroit, Michigan to live with my mother, Louiza Tatum Frazier Webb. I lived there for several years and then moved back to Arkansas. I also lived in Oklahoma. As I moved about, I was still learning the principles of righteousness while learning that Christ is my Savior who had kept me and was still keeping me.
While still very young, I moved to Nacogdoches, Texas. There, I worked for years in the chicken poultry industry. I later relocated back to Arkansas to marry John Elliott Jr. I was still searching for clarity in my journey with God. The city of Detroit was still calling me. Therefore, I moved back and joined the Unity Apostolic Cathedral Church. While being shepherded there, I was called into the ministry.
Now, I understood why Detroit was the place for me. As I attended Theology Seminaries, I learned more and more about my Savior, my Lord Jesus Christ. On June 19, 1983, I was accepted into the Wayne Community Christian Seminary. On May 6, 1984, I received my Certificate of Ordination from the Holy Faith Tabernacle Church. I continued my faith walk in Christ.
On August 30, 1984, I was re-baptized, now, better understanding what baptism was all about. On November 22, 1986, I became an ordained minister in good standing from the Northern District Counsel in Grand Rapids, MI. On March 23, 1987, I received my Certificate of Completion of Courses in Theology from Wayne Theological Seminary. On April 30, 1987, I received the award of Sustained Superior Performance to the Patton Home III. On April 6, 1993, World Christian Ministries presented me with Credentials of Ordination. On October 8, 1995, I was ordained to preach from the Church of Jesus Christ Our Lord. I was a Minister of the Word.
There are so many other awards given to me over the years. One of the most significant awards presented to me was from the City Council of Detroit, MI. The “Spirit of Detroit” Award was presented as an expression of gratitude and esteem from the citizens of Detroit. I realized that my moving away and back to Detroit was all orchestrated by the will of God.
