Franceane G. Scott

December 28, 1969 — January 28, 2026

Arkadelphia, Arkansas

A radiant and unforgettable soul Franceane Genaye Scott was a woman who truly never met a stranger. Known for her warm spirit, infectious conversation, and genuine love for people, she found joy in connection. Whether on the telephone for hours catching up with family and friends, reminiscing about cherished memories, or dreaming aloud about better days ahead, she made everyone feel seen, heard, and valued.

Born on December 28, 1969, in Camden, Arkansas, to William Scott and Mary Louise Polk Scott, she grew into a bright, intelligent, and curious young woman. She was a proud graduate of Camden High School, Class of 1988, and later continued her education at Henderson State University, where she studied Psychology, a field that reflected her natural compassion and understanding of people.

An avid reader, she could often be found with her nose buried in a good book, especially works by some of her favorite authors – specifically, Anna Karenina by Leo Tolstoy. Music was another passion of her heart - she loved the soulful voices of Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey, whose songs often provided the soundtrack to her life.

She peacefully transitioned from this life on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at her home in Arkadelphia, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her father, William Scott, and her beloved brother, Eric Scott, who passed in 2025.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories: Her devoted mother, Mary Louise Scott of Camden, AR; two sisters, LaSandra Scott of Arkadelphia, and Kristi Hayman and husband Ronald Hayman of Little Rock, AR; one brother, Gregory Scott of Dallas, TX; She also leaves a loving circle of nieces, Sade Shannon, Tisha Haman, Katelyn Scott and Symphony Haywood, and Jayla Scott; three great-nieces and one great-nephew. She also leaves aunts and uncles Denise (Ricky) Anderson, Joyce Ann Criner, Robert Scott, and James Scott all of Camden, AR; Edis Mae Brown of Rockford, IL, Raymond Scott of Stephens, AR, Rev. TW (Priscilla) Scott of Pine Bluff, AR, and Otis Scott of Rockford, IL; many cousins, lifelong friends, special childhood friends Eric Gates and Kevin Grreen and new friends she made along life’s journey

At her request, she will be cremated, and no formal services will be held.

Those who knew and loved her are encouraged to remember her for the sweet soul she was—a woman full of love, conversation, laughter, and an open heart that welcomed everyone.
