Ricky began his employment journey at Elk Roofing in Stephens, Arkansas until the plant closed its doors. Afterwards, he held positions at both Atlantic Research and Arquest. He spent his last years of working as a truck driver. First, he worked cross-country for J.B. Hunt and finished his driving career at Blann Trucking Company in Hampton, Arkansas before he became disabled.
On August 22, 2019, Ricky transitioned from this life to life eternal. He was preceded in death by his father, H.B. Porchia (son of the late Harvey and Alla Porchia); his mother, Joyce Neal Porchia (daughter of the late Alford and Nancy Neal) and one sister, Dorothy Jones.
