Gwendolyn Moore

Gwendolyn Moore was born on December 26, 1960, in Hampton, Arkansas, to Elijah Ware and Lillie Pearl Washington Ware.

She accepted Christ at a young age and united with Hwy 167 Church of Christ. She was a graduate of Hampton High School and worked for several years at General Dynamics as an inspector.

Affectionately known as “Foxx” by her family and friends, Gwendolyn loved music, cooking, and spending time with her grandchildren. She never met a stranger and was always willing to help find a solution to someone else’s problems. Her warm spirit and giving heart touched many lives.

Gwendolyn departed this life on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at her home in Hampton, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elijah and Lille Pearl Washington Ware; a sister Evelyn Leonard, and a brother Gerald Ware.

She leaves to cherish her memory her two sons, Antione (Rysheda Neal) Ware of Hampton, Arkansas, and Brandon (Yvette) Ware of Conway, Arkansas; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild; three sisters Phyllis Ware, Bernita Ware, and Jacquelyn (Bobby) Preston all of Harrell, AR; three brothers, Kevin (Jennifer) Ware of Crossett, AR, Jefferey (Tasha) Ware of Banks, AR and Malik Ware of Arkadelphia, AR. She also leaves behind a special friend, Terry Cross, along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends who will cherish her memory.

Services will be Saturday, June 26, 2026, at 1:00 AM at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with Bro. Kevin Ware, officiating. Visitation will be Saturday from noon until service time. Interment will be at Macedonia Cemetery in Hampton.

Pallbearers will be Brandon Ware, Antione Ware, Darrell Ware, Terry Cross, Braylen Ware and Cameo Ware.
