James Qunicy Archie

July 6, 1937 — December 27, 2021

Known for his laughter, easygoing demeanor, love for music and servant’s heart, James Q. Archie transitioned into his spiritual destination into God’s grace quietly, with his wife (Clarice Archie) by his side on Monday, December 27, 2021. James was born July 6, 1937, to Albert and Zenobia Archie (Jones) in Arkadelphia, Arkansas.

James was preceded in death by this parents, Albert and Zenobia, siblings, one sister, Joyce Jones, four brothers (Marrie Archie, Freddie Jones, Arthur Jones and Charles Jones).

He is survived by his wife, Clarice Archie, siblings, three sisters, Rosetta Jones (Detroit, MI), Dr. Janice (Michael) Walker of Jacksonville, AR, Doretta Peterson of Arkadelphia, 4 brothers, Cleveland (JoeAnn) Jones (Detroit MI), who passed away March 29, 2022).  Booker T. Jones, Jr, and Leroy Jones of Jacksonville, AR and Johnnie Jones of Arkadelphia, AR, cousin, Katherine Wells, five sons, Stanley (Evelyn) Archie, Stephen (Imani) Archie, Andre’ (Eleanor) Archie, Stewart Archie, Londro (Ebony) Patterson, Jr. and one daughter, Stephanie Archie and a host of many loving family members.  

Public visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. of Friday, April 8, 2022 with the family receiving friends from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Williams Funeral Home. The family gathering will be on LIVE at the Williams Funeral Home Facebook page.

Services will be held graveside at noon on Saturday, April 9, 2022 at Piney Grove Cemetery.
