Joseph Glenn Alexander “Big Joe” was born in Camden Arkansas on May 21, 1962 to the late Henry “Bubba” Alexander, and the late Alice T. “Wroten” Alexander. He was the 5th born of 8 siblings. He departed this life on Wednesday, May 12th, 2021 at the Ouachita County Medical Center in Camden Arkansas.
He accepted Christ at an early age and United with Good Home Baptist Church in Camden, Arkansas. He was a member there until God called him home.
Joe attended elementary school at Lafayette School and graduated from Fairview High School in Camden Arkansas, Class of 1981. He worked in the timber industry most of his life. He was a big guy with a very quiet spirit. We knew him as “Big Joe” a gentle giant willing to help anybody. He liked playing dominoes and working in the woods driving the skidders.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Larry G. Alexander, Michael E. Alexander, and Frederick T. Alexander.
He leaves behind to continue this journey and carry the eternal torch to his loving wife, Janice M. Halton Alexander; three sons, Anthony Halton, Columbus Halton, and Carlos Halton all of Camden, AR; three grandchildren, Andrew G. Halton, Charleigh G. Halton, and Chandler G. Halton; three brothers, Terry (Marion) Alexander of Texarkana, AR, Henry Lamar Alexander, and Bernard Alexander of Louann, AR; one sister, Bernadette (Otis) Love of Smackover, AR; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Public visitation will be Wednesday, May 19, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Williams Funeral Home Van Buren. Services will be held graveside at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 20, 2021 at Jones Cemetery, Ouachita County Road 65, Louann with Rev. James B. Alexander, officiating.
