Katrenda Lashunda Butler

Katrenda Lashunda Butler, 50, of Arkadelphia, AR transitioned from this earth to her heavenly home on Sunday, January 29, 2023. She was born in Chidester, Arkansas to Doris Lynn Bowens where she joined Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church at an early age. She also attended Chidester Elementary School and graduated from Blevins High School where she played basketball. Katrenda was headstrong and very independent. She had given birth to her eldest daughter and shortly thereafter moved to Arkadelphia, AR where she later had her youngest daughter. The love she had for her only two girls was unconditional and there was not anything she wouldn’t do for them they were her life and will forever be.

Katrenda pursued many jobs and made a lot of friends, everyone loved Katrenda’s outgoing spirit. Those who got the chance to know Katrenda said she was a sweetheart, the sweetest person you could ever meet. She was also funny and could make anyone laugh without even trying, Katrenda loved to walk, and it was a hobby for her that most didn’t understand she would also visit close family and friends in Arkadelphia and have a good ole time her energy was unmatched. She was preceded in death by her grandmother Florence Bowens Box and brother Mario Bowens.

Katrenda leaves to cherish her memory her two daughters, Destaney Butler of Wichita, KS and Jasmine Owens of Jacksonville, AR; her mother, Doris Lynn Bowens, of Chicago, IL; uncle, Donald Bowens; extended uncles, Bobby Box, Hesley Box, Sr., Dr. James Fort, and Wayne Banks; aunts, Shenna Bowens; extended aunts, Betty Box Armour, Barbara Box Banks, Jenneal Blanche, Kathy Box Fort, Lura Gentry, Verlean Davis, Lois Box, and Barbie Box; siblings, Chasity, Jamie, Dimitri, Courtney, Christy, Sean; nieces, nephews, cousins and four grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 12 noon until 5 pm on Friday, February 10, 2023, at the funeral home. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 11, 2023, at Williams Funeral Home with Rev. Bobby Box, officiating. The interment will be at Piney Grove Cemetery in Arkadelphia. Pallbearers will be Dale Box, Ricky Box, Donald Bowens, Robert Ussery, Anthony Car, and Weddie Wells.
