Levi Hill

November 26, 1944 — July 15, 2025

Oklahoma City

Levi Hill was born to Eli and Zeola Hill in Arkadelphia, Arkansas and was the sixth of eight children. From a young age, he displayed a compassionate nature and a love for animals, often tending to them with care. Levi was also born deaf and because there was not a local deaf education program or school, he attended the formerly named Madison School, now known as the Arkansas School for the Deaf in Little Rock, Arkansas where he made numerous friends and excelled as a star basketball player. He graduated in 1964 and remained an active alumnus.

After working for a period of time in Little Rock, Levi moved to Spencer, Oklahoma, to be closer to his older brother, “Gray” Hill. He grew fond of Oklahoma, established residency, and secured a job at McDonald's in Oklahoma City where he formed many lifelong friendships while working there for 35 years before retiring. In addition, he was deeply involved with the Deaf Church of Oklahoma City. Furthermore, he showed an unwavering dedication to any civic or social cause that he was involved.

Levi had a passion for travel, often visiting his hometown of Arkadelphia, Arkansas. He also enjoyed photography, fishing, gardening, and watching his favorite basketball and football teams. Levi cherished spending time with friends, family and even teasing his sisters.

Levi was preceded in death by his parents, Eli and Zeola Hill; four brothers: James Newburn of Little Rock, Arkansas, Marion (Gray) Hill of Spencer, Oklahoma, Clydell Hill of Spring, Texas, and Phemis Hill of Arkadelphia, Arkansas; and one sister, Bobbie Washington of Chicago, Illinois. He is survived by two sisters, Mary Bullock of Pemberton, New Jersey, and Katherean Davis of Bellwood, Illinois; one stepdaughter, Donna Corruthers of Little Rock, Arkansas; one sister-in-law, Linda Hill of Spring, Texas; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and special life-long friends Emma and Benny Fuller of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
