Linda D. Porchia Brown

Linda Diane Porchia Brown “Tootie” as she was so lovingly known was born on August 13, 1953, in Camden, Arkansas to the late H.B. and Joyce Neal Porchia. She accepted Christ at an early age at Good Hope Baptist Church in Stephens, Arkansas.

 She was a 1972 graduate of Fairview High School in Camden, Arkansas. She worked for many years as a CNA and spent most of those years at Ouachita Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She had a very special bond with each of the residents and always treated them with utmost respect, love, and compassion. Tootie enjoyed spending quality time with her family and she most loved the time she spent with her two sons, Michael and Sean, and her grandchildren. Her house was where the family gathered for most occasions. She was always so welcoming to everyone. She also enjoyed taking evening strolls in her Cadillac.

After high school, she met her sweetheart, Michael Elliott and to this union, one son, Michael Porchia was born. Later she married James Alexander and to this union, one son was born, Sean Alexander. In 2007, she married Leon D. Brown.

On Friday, June 28, 2024, Linda transitioned from this life to life eternal. She was preceded in death by her parents, H. B. and Joyce Neal Porchia; her husband, Leon D. Brown; her brother, Freddie “Ricky” Porchia and a sister, Dorothy Ann Jones.

She leaves to cherish her memories two sons, Michael Porchia of Little Rock, AR, and Sean Alexander of Camden, AR; grandchildren, Kabrean (Ashton) Griffin, Colette Porchia, Kalise Alexander, Shundreauna Alexander, Landree Alexander, Ashunti Alexander, Riley Alexander, Britleigh Alexander; great-grandchild, Phoenix Griffin; brothers, H. B. “Ray Charles” Porchia of Dallas, TX, John Porchia of Little Rock, AR, Willie Porchia and Larry Porchia of Camden, AR; sisters, Sarah Lindsey of Tyler, TX, and Vivian (Kenneth) Hervey of Little Rock, AR; aunts, Queen (J.C.) Jackson of Kansas City, MO, Marilyn (Ralph) Thrist of Kansas City, MO, Verna Mae Williams of Camden, AR, Jean Esther Anderson of Milwaukee, WI; uncle, Alfred Neal of Chicago, IL; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and a very special friend, Ben Hopson who will miss her dearly.
