Nadene Craig-Sutton

June 15, 1949 — June 30, 2020

Nadene Craig Sutton was born on June 15, 1949 in Bearden, Arkansas to the union of Arlen Parham and Bitha Mae Juniel Parham.

She accepted Christ at a young age and was a life-long member of Holly Grove Baptist Church where she served as a choir member, former Sunday school teacher, a member of the hospitality committee ad custodian. She possessed workers spirit and was always available to help when needed. She made sure that the pastor was always taken care of.

She worked at Baldwin Electronics in Camden until her health began to fail. She married Isaiah Craig and to this union four children were born. She later married Theodore Sutton who preceded her in death.

Nadene was a simple, yet a quiet lady who enjoyed cooking and reading the book of Psalms which was her favorite book in the bible. Her greatest joy was being in the company of her family.

She passed into the Lord’s embrace on Tuesday, June 30, 2020. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Theodore Sutton; her son, Isaiah Craig, Jr. (May 3, 1990) and three brothers, Rev. Arlen Ray Parham, Leroy Parham and Willie Lee Parham.

Although Nadene is no longer here with us in body, her irreplaceable presence will be deeply missed. Her love will live on in the lives of her children: Kelly Craig (Donta Thrower) who always made sure she had what she needed; Reggie (Barbara) Craig and Corrie (Vanessa) Craig; her sister, Pearlie (Grover) Newton; and two brothers, Larry (Katherine) Moore and Alan Parham. She also leaves seventeen grandchildren; a granddaughter she raised as her own, Constance Craig and eleven great-grandchildren, as well as, a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

Public visitation will be on Thursday, July 2, 2020 from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Williams Funeral Home Van Buren, 119 Van Buren Street in Camden. Due to the COVID-19 Virus Pandemic and the directives from the Governor's Office State of Arkansas please do not linger.
