Ollie Lee Harrison

December 8, 1949 — April 19, 2018

Ollie Lee Harrison was born in Manning, Arkansas on December 8, 1949. He was the fourth child of ten children born to Emmitt and Laura Hughes Harrison.

He was a 1967 graduate of Sparkman Training School and grew up with a charming personality, full of life and plenty of love for everyone. Ollie brought joy and laughter to all of the family gatherings.

Ollie left Arkansas and moved to Milwaukee where he found employment at Cudhay Tanner Company. He met and married Linda C. Saulsberry years later. During that time, they started a family with the birth of a son, Markeith and a few years later Ollie, Jr. They eventually moved to Los Angeles where he enrolled in truck driving school and started driving for Stan Trucking. After showing proficiency in driving he started working for Bert Jessup Trucking and later Freight Systems.

After the birth of Antawn the family relocated back to Arkansas and he started driving with Troy Bradley Logging. He reunited with Harmony Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. F. O. Jones and served on the Usher board.

On April 19, 2018, he went home to be with the Lord; joining his parents, two brothers, one sister and two nephews.

Those left to cherish his memory are: his wife, Linda C. Harrison; three sons, Markeith (Samantha), Ollie, Jr. (Jessica) and Antawn all of Pittsburg, PA; grandsons, Kaleb, Joshua, Jayden, Ahsan, Azlan, Aariz, Josiah and Antawn, Jr; granddaughters, Markiesha, Karle, Aaliyah and Anyah; his brothers, Travis Harrison of Detroit, MI, James (Bertha) Harrison of Milwaukee, WI, Samuel Harrison and Rodney Harrison both of Sparkman, AR; his sisters, Anne Gaines of Inglewood, CA, Kathy Cunningham of Texarkana, AR and Unitta Harrison of Sparkman, AR; three aunts, Lisa (Edgar) Russell of Milwaukee, WI, Maelene Harrison of Arkadelphia, AR and Shirley Hughes of Sparkman, AR; his mother-in-law, Louise Saulsberry of Byhalia, MS; brothers-in-law, Wade (Jackie) Saulsberry of Byhalia, MS and Sammie Saulsberry of Byhalia, MS; sisters-in-law, Katie Williams of Byhalia, MS, and Connie (Steve) Muhammad of Atlanta, GA.
