Mr. Percy Albert Walker was born on August 14, 1947, in Warren, Arkansas, to the late Reverend Robert Ozell Walker and Dora Dean Walker.
At an early age, Percy accepted Christ as his personal Savior and joined Mt. Hebron Baptist Church, now known as New Mt. Hebron Baptist Church, under the leadership of the late Rev. J. G. Russ. He remained steadfast in his faith throughout his life. He was also a proud member of the Masonic Order.
He received his education in the Lafayette County School System and graduated from Lafayette High School in 1964. After graduation, on October 25, 1967, he enlisted in the United States Army.
Following his military service, he was employed with the Arkansas State Highway Department, where he worked faithfully for many years and later retired as an inspector.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Eric Eugene Walker of Beeville, Texas; and his brothers, Morris Walker, Robert Lawrence Walker, Lee V. Walker, and William Thomas Walker; sisters, Neomia Brim, Ida B. Johnson, Ruthie M. Williams, Theodora Belton, and Emogene Turner.
He leaves to cherish his memories his devoted son, Sgt. Jeremy Winfield Walker of Tulsa, Oklahoma; three grandsons; and many other relatives and friends who will forever treasure his memory.
