Reuben Earl Warren

May 30, 1951 — November 3, 2019

Reuben E. Warren

“Sleepy” – “Bud”

Reuben Earl Warren was born on May 30, 1951 in Camden, Arkansas to the late Darnell Bennie Lee Satterwhite Warren.  He accepted Christ and united with Shiloh AME Church at an early age. He was 1968 graduate of Lincoln High School and later attended the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff. He grew up to be a handsome and talented young man.

He possessed a strong work ethic and was employed at Firestone since 1972 retiring after 42 years. By all accounts he was a “jack of all trades." He started working for R&L Trucking until his health began to fail.  His pastimes included cutting grass and hunting. He was a member of the New Ground Hunting Club and while at Shiloh he served as a Sunday school Superintendent, teacher, Trustee, choir member and steward. In 1975 he married Joclye Alexander and to this union two children were born.

He was a person who didn’t mind helping anybody. One of his greatest joys was spending memorable moments with relatives and friends, both young and old. He will live on in the hearts of his loved ones and friends. He possessed a friendly spirit and never met a stranger. He meant what he said, and said what he meant. His natural wit and humor could never be duplicated.

Family, as well as friends, will miss his strength, smile and love, but will never forget his spirit and compassion. He passed into the Lord’s embrace Sunday, November 3, 2019. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Larry N. Warren.
