Ricky Kennel

Ricky Kennel was born on December 18, 1957, in Gurdon, AR to the late L.E. and Jerline Gamble- Kennel. Ricky passed away on Wednesday, July 29 in Grand Prairie, Texas.

Ricky had various jobs over his lifetime. Ricky and his brother worked in the pulpwood industry for many years with his father L.E. Kennel Sr..

Ricky was a graduate of the historic Bell High School in Gurdon, Arkansas. He loved his family and was a die-hard Dallas Cowboy fan. He enjoyed listening to the old-time blues sounds of B.B. King and Bobby Blue Bland. He also was an avid hunter and enjoyed the outdoors.

.He was preceded in death by his parents, L. E. Kennel (December 25, 1986) and Jerline Gamble Kennel (September 25, 2012); his sister, Wanda Sue Jones (July 11, 2022) and his brothers, Alvin Williams and L. E. "Dog Pound" Kennel, Jr. (October 17, 2024).

He also leaves his siblings, Charlotte A. Kennel, Annette Williamson, Diana K. Foley of Anaheim, CA, Mary Willis, Wyona D. Kennel, Randy J. Kennel, Stanley Kennel, Amanda Mallory and Steven Kennel as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other family members, several friends and acquaintances.

Inurnment will be on Friday, August 14, 2026 at 10:30 a.m. at Rose Hedge Cemetery in Gurdon, Arkansas. Family and friends are welcome to attend.
