Sarah L. Warren

February 6, 1963 — February 3, 2021

Sarah L. Allen Warren was born into this life on February 6, 1963, in Gurdon to Ray Wilbert and Arletha Dixon Allen. She was a 1981 graduate of Gurdon High School where she participated with the band and was a member of the flag line. She furthered her education at UACCH where she earned an Associate degree in criminal justice and a bachelor of Science in Human Services from Henderson State University.

Sarah was an independent woman and mother. She worked for over 15 years at Morse Automotive while raising her four children as a single mother, but able to provide for them well beyond the necessities of life, exceeding the equivalent of a two-parent home. She remained dedicated to her Christian beliefs and brought up her children also knowing and loving the Lord. She was a member of Kingdom Authority Christian Ministries in Gurdon.

Throughout her life, she maintained close ties to her family and loved ones and enthusiastically enjoyed birthdays, get-togethers, and holidays. Sarah enjoyed the many benefits of being a grandmother and with a youthful spirit, she continued to enjoy life with the exuberance of a teenager, all while entertaining her grandchildren.

Family, as well as friends, will miss her strength, smile, and love, but will never forget her spirit and compassion. She passed into the Lord’s embrace Wednesday, February 3, 2021, at CHI St. Vincent. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Larry Allen.

Sarah leaves four children Tocura Giles of Gurdon, AR, Whitney (Fredrick) Nichols, Ercie Allen (fiancé Antone Purifoy), and Erika Johnson all of Hot Springs, AR; thirteen grandchildren, two bonus grandchildren, and a sister, Melinda Allen of Gurdon, AR; a special friend, Tammy Moore; a host of nieces, nephews; her aunts, Malinda Mays, Vera Nelson, and Barbara Allen; and an uncle, Tommy Allen.
