Sean D. Jenkins

Nov 8, 1969 — Aug 14, 2026

“Man that is born of a woman is of few days, and full of trouble.”

—Job 14:1

Sean Douglas Jenkins was born on November 8, 1969, in Camden, Arkansas, to Brenda Joyce Jenkins. He accepted Christ at an early age and united with C.M.E. Temple Church, where the foundation of his Christian faith was established.

Sean attended both Camden and Fairview Senior High Schools, where he demonstrated his athletic ability on the football field. After spending one year wearing the red and white uniform of the Fairview Cardinals, Sean realized how much he missed his friends and returned to Camden Senior High School. There, he proudly wore the black and gold uniform of the Fighting Panthers. Sean graduated from Camden Senior High School in 1988.

Shortly after graduation, Sean enlisted in the United States Navy. He completed basic training in San Diego, California, graduating among the top ten members of his class. His military career provided him with the opportunity to travel and experience different parts of the world, including Hawaii and the Philippines.

Following three years of honorable service to his country, Sean returned home to Arkansas. Determined to further his education, he took the SAT and earned an exceptional score. He then moved to Little Rock, Arkansas, to attend college and enrolled at ITT Technical Institute, where he distinguished himself academically and earned a place on the honor roll.

Sean’s life was filled with memorable experiences, meaningful relationships, and a deep love for his family. To his mother, he was affectionately known as her “Baby Boy.” On Thursday, August 13, 2026, Sean made what would become his final telephone call to his mother. At the conclusion of their conversation, his final words to her were simple, sincere, and everlasting: “I love you.”

On Friday, August 14, 2026, Sean departed this life in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. Although his earthly journey has ended, the love he shared and the memories he created will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Sean leaves to cherish his fond memories his loving mother, Brenda Foreman; two sons, Jeremy Jenkins of Little Rock, Arkansas, and Marquavious Jenkins of Camden, Arkansas; one sister, Lisa (Freddie) Gulley of Camden, Arkansas; two nieces, Rosalyn Bivens of Dallas, Texas, and Shareka Bivens of Fort Worth, Texas; one uncle, Roland (Faye) Jenkins of Stephens, Arkansas; and his aunts, Renee (Lonnie) Bragg of Camden, Arkansas, Ora Jenkins of Little Rock, Arkansas, Elsie Jenkins and Desiree Jenkins of Camden, Arkansas, and Frances Jenkins of Arkadelphia, Arkansas.

He also leaves two bonus sisters, Rochelle Hunter Preston and Roberta Harris Carter, along with a host of cousins, extended family members, and friends who will forever remember his life, his love, and his enduring spirit.
