1980 "Taz" 2024

Tamara K. Daniel

January 29, 1980 — April 6, 2024

Hot Springs, Arkansas

"Taz” as she was affectionately called was born into life on January 29, 1980, to Celesia Daniel-Williams and Mr. Larry Hunter in Prescott, Arkansas. She accepted Christ at a tender age and joined First Missionary Baptist in Sparkman, Arkansas. Growing up in the house with her grandmother, Dorothy Daniel, she went to church no doubt!

Tamara grew up mostly in Sparkman, Arkansas, and attended Sparkman High School. Later her mother moved them to Arkadelphia, Arkansas. She enjoyed cooking, spending time with her family, and just people in general. She was the life of the party and a lover of music, even if it was just her. Her favorite football team was the Dallas Cowboys and was known as the “Facebook Queen.” She enjoyed going live on Facebook and posting pictures of food. Her last time was on April 5, 2024, before her health took a turn for the worse.

Tamara worked in the fast-food industry and was a home health aide until her health started to fail. Her most prized client was her grandmother, Dorothy Daniel (April 23, 1935 - October 19, 2019).

Taz's greatest accomplishment was her four children, even with the odds stacked against her of becoming a mom. Her life changed drastically when she lost her son Darius Lucas (August 30, 1997- March 6, 2011).

Tamara was given the gift of rest on Saturday, April 6, 2024, at National Park Hospital Hot Springs, Arkansas with her family at her side.

Tamara memories will continue to live on in her children D’Corian Lockette of DeSoto, Texas; Daniya and D’Kingston Long of Hot Springs, Arkansas; her mother, Celesia Daniel Williams of Arkadelphia, Arkansas; her father, Larry Hunter of Little Rock, Arkansas; four sisters, Alesha Harrison of Arkadelphia, Arkansas; Lakwesha Roscoe, Marquita Webb both of Little Rock, Arkansas; Kanesha Griep of Springdale, Arkansas; two brothers, Fredrick D. Bragg, Tristin Daniel both of Arkadelphia, Arkansas; four aunts, Phyllis (Ricky) Harrison of Sparkman, Arkansas; Gracie Taylor of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; Brenda Taylor Williams of Little Rock, Arkansas; Zonder Hall of Sparkman, Arkansas; one uncle, Elder Carl (Fred) Daniel of Little Rock, Arkansas; and one great aunt, Veleria Govan of Sparkman, Arkansas. She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, two bonus nieces, Taylor Berry and Samari Anderson, a special friends Steven Ellis and Glennisha Simpkins, a host of other relatives, and friends.
