Tammy "Tammie" Ederington

Tammie Ederington was born in Camden, Arkansas to the union of Grady Ederington and Flora Ann Tatum Ederington on July 11, 1963. Tammie is one of nine children born into the large Ederington family.

She confessed her faith in Christ at an early age at Macedonia AME Church in Camden and later became a member of Victory Church in Camden. She was a 1981 graduate of Camden High School.

Tammie was a hardworking and dedicated woman. She worked at General Dynamics in Camden and at Armtec for many years. She took pride in her work and was known for her strong work ethic and commitment to doing her job well.

But as important as work was to Tammie, family always came first. When her mother needed her, Tammie stepped away from the workforce to become her caregiver. That decision spoke volumes about her heart. She was loving, dependable, selfless, and devoted to those she loved.

Tammie was simply sweet. She had a warm, bubbly personality that could brighten a room, and she believed in looking her best while doing it. Her hair was always just right, her makeup beautifully done, and her clothes perfectly put together. Her sense of style was the perfect complement to the beautiful personality she carried everywhere she went. Tammie didn’t just get dressed—she put herself together, and she did it with confidence and grace that were uniquely hers.

She also knew her way around the kitchen and was an excellent cook. And although she was sweet, don’t mistake her sweetness for weakness—Tammie knew how to stand her ground. She could be firm when she needed to be, but underneath that strength was one of the kindest and most genuine hearts you could ever encounter.

To know Tammie was to know a woman who loved her family, worked hard, looked good, enjoyed life, and treated people with genuine kindness. Her bubbly spirit, beautiful smile, fashionable style, and sweet nature will remain treasured memories for everyone blessed to have known her.

Tammie slipped away from this life on Wednesday, August 31, 2026, at her home In Camden. She was preceded in death by her parents, seven brothers, Chief Jesse Oakley, Perry Ederington, Ricky Ederington, Gregory Ederingtion, Chester Lewis Ederington, Larry Ederington, and Tony “Big Easy” Ederington; and her nephew, Rico Ederington.

She leaves her sister, Mary (Earl) Doby of Peoria, IL and her brothers, Carl L. Ederington of Las Vegas, NV. and Terry Ederington of Camden as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
