Thomas James Ollison was the seventh child born to Tennie Dawn Ollison and Henry W. Ollison, Sr., in Fordyce, Arkansas on August 22, 1956. He was raised in Pine Grove, Arkansas. He accepted Christ at an early age and became a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church.
T.J. was a graduate of Sparkman High School. He united in Holy matrimony to Ivory Jean Mays in the late 70’s and to this union three children were born, Deon, Bridgette and Chris. Later he had his fourth child, Darius.
During his season of life, he worked at Anthony Timberlands for 38 years as a forklift driver and was one of the baddest. In addition to working, he loved spending time with family and friends. In his spare time he loved to wash cars – because every vehicle he drove was always clean. He never let life get him down, because he trusted the Lord. He will be missed by many who depended on him for his hard work and dedication.
On September 10, 2024, the Lord called T.J. home to be with him. He was preceded in death by his parents, and five siblings.
A lifetime of love and memories will be forever felt by his children, Deon (Tarlisha) Ollison, Bridgette Ollison, Christopher (Sara) Ollison and Darius Ollison all Sparkman, AR; his grandchildren, Deon Ollison, Jr., Le’Niyah Ollison, Dea’Hvanee Sheppard, Laylah Ollison, Brey’on McKenzie, Carter Ollison, Jaylon Nelson, Lakyn Ollison, and Cameron Ollison; his siblings, Clarice (Jimmy) Henderson of Sparkman, AR, Mable (Rev. Roy) Owens of Eagle Mills, AR, Elnora Berry of Bearden, AR, Ivory (Dale) Rabion of Camden, AR, Vernon (Sandra) Hall of White Springs, AR and Janice Weaver of Griffin, GA. He also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, numerous friends and a special friend, Thomas “Busta” Blevins.
