Fayette "Casey" Lashun Payne

Services remembering the life of Fayette Lashun “Casey” House-Payne will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 8, 2022, at Williams Funeral Home with Rev. Marshall Allen, officiating. The family will receive friends from noon until service time.

Fayette Lashun “Casey” Payne was born December 20, 1972, in Gurdon, AR. She left this earth at her home on January 1, 2022. Fayette was the oldest child of three children. At an early age, her parents ensured she was involved in church activities and joined Eastern Star Baptist Church where she remained a member.

“Casey” as she was known by many was a 1991 graduate of Grady High School in Grady, Arkansas. Brutally honest and fiercely loyal she was a fast talker, and straight shooter. Strong willed and independent she lived life to the fullest. One of her greatest joys was being a mother and a loving grandmother.

Some of her favorite pastimes included settling down with a good book while eating anything chocolate and Debbie snacks, listening to blues and working on her car.  She adored the color red and girly things like painting her fingernails and toenails.  She loved animals, particularly dogs and enjoyed basketball.  

She leaves to mourn her passing one son, Roosevelt (Modesta) Payne; one daughter, Latalia (Roman) Montgomery; three grandchildren, Sasha Payne, Milliana Payne, and Roosevelt D. Payne all of Gurdon, AR. She also leaves her parents, Roosevelt and Wilma House, Gurdon, AR; two sisters, Rochelle Jones (Jerome) of Malvern, AR; and Tamara (Charles) House-Knight of Little Rock, AR; three nieces, Michelle Jones, Mya Jones, and Cianna Knight; an aunt, Althia George of Gurdon, AR; two uncles, Bennie Charles of Gurdon, AR and Willie Charles of Michigan, as well as, several cousins, friends, and a special friend, Trozie Mendenhall. Casey was a true jewel and will be missed by many.
